The World Baseball Classic

An important international tournament, the World Baseball Classic was made to find the best national baseball team on the planet!

When the old Baseball World Cup ended in 2011, the World Baseball Classic became the sport’s biggest competition. It promotes baseball globally, and offers players a platform to represent their country.

Three different nations host this year’s tournament: Taiwan, Japan, and the USA. Teams Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Italy, Panama, and the Netherlands will compete in Taichung from March 8th-12th. After that, the two top teams in their pool will fly out to the USA, to play for their place in the final!
