Nora: The 2023 Sydney Lunar Festival! Sydney is celebrating the Lunar New Year with street performances, lanterns, and traditional sweets.

The Australian city has celebrated the holiday since 1996, and the event has now grown into one of the biggest Lunar New Year celebrations outside Asia.

This year's 17 days of festivities kick off with Sydney Lunar Streets, a giant street celebration in Chinatown featuring roving performers, lion dances, and street food. And the event wraps with the Lunar Spectacular Show at Town Hall, where local Asian communities including Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai will share their culture and history through dance, music and storytelling.

The Sydney Lunar Festival runs from January 21st to February 5th. That was the News with Nora, I'm Nora Yu. Nora: That was The News with Nora, I’m Nora Yu.
