Sally: You were right, Eve! ‘WorldSkills’ is the name of an organization, they promote vocational trades, like carpentry or mechanics. Their global competition is designed so technical education students can compete against each other, to find the best in the world. Chuck: Word two: ‘Vocational’ Adam. Adam: Something you do on holiday? Chuck: Wrong answer again Adam! Eve, any ideas? Eve: When a job’s ‘vocational’, you have to train a lot and learn very particular things to do it right. Chuck: Correct! Two points! Sally? Sally: This year, Taiwan’s vocational team did really well! They came 3rd overall, and won 42 medals, including 6 gold, 13 silver, and 6 bronze, as well as 17 medallions for excellence! Chuck: Word three: ‘Medallions’ Adam Adam: Any jewelry that’s shaped like a medal, and worn around the neck. It’s mostly used for medals from ancient Roman times!
