新聞圖片 【首屆 台澳英語學習對話】深化台澳雙方雙語政策合作 國發會、教育部及澳洲辦事處於3月3日上午共同召開首屆「台澳英語學習對話」,由澳洲辦事處露珍怡代表、國發會龔明鑫主委、教育部潘文忠部長及澳洲「就業、勞動力、技能、小型和家庭企業」部長,兼「教育和青年事務」代理部長,斯圖爾特·羅伯特,以視訊方式致詞揭開序幕 本次對話主題為「澳洲英語教育產業」、「台灣雙語政策目標」、「澳洲英語教學機構與台澳合作」、「台灣華語教育倡議」,共計有227名台澳英語學習相關單位共同與會,其中有173名是以遠距方式參與。台澳雙方除分享英語學習經驗,並探討如何強化更為密切之連結外,也針對促進留遊學機會、技能發展、技職培訓及華語學習等議題交換意見 會議由我方及澳方進行專題演講,國發會張惠娟處長說明「2030雙語政策」,教育部李彥儀司長則就「台灣推動雙語教育之政策」進行說明;澳方則由「澳洲英語協會」執行長布雷特‧布萊克爾(Brett Blacker)就澳洲培養英語學習能力概述進行演講,再由澳洲教育、技能及就業部Simon Moore國際政策常務助理部長就澳洲英語學習政策框架進行介紹,澳洲辦事處副代表暨商務處處長莫博仁先生則說明澳洲英語學習產業概況。 雙方高等教育機構也踴躍分享台澳英語學習的合作經驗。澳洲阿德雷大學英語中心國際事務副主任Simon Futo先生、博士山學院Kien Chai經理,國立台灣師範大學文學院陳秋蘭院長及國立台北護理健康大學吳淑芳校長應邀分享在英語師資培訓、雙聯學程方面的合作案例。 -------- To deepen Taiwan-Australia cooperation on Bilingual 2030 Policy, yesterday on March the 3rd, the National Development Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Australian Office hosted the inaugural Australia-Taiwan Dialogue on English Language Learning. The Dialogue opened with an introduction by Australian Representative Jenny Bloomfield, followed by pre-recorded remarks from Taiwan’s Minister of the National Development Council, Ming-Hsin Kung, Minister of Education, Wen-Chung Pan, and Australia’s Acting Minister for Education and Youth and Minister for Employment, Workforce, Skills, Small and Family Business, the Hon Stuart Robert MP. The Dialogue features “Australian English education industry,” “Taiwan’s Bilingual Policy goals,” “Australian English teaching institutes and Taiwan-Australia cooperation,” and “Taiwan mandarin education initiative.” A total of 227 participants registered for this dialogue, of which 173 joined remotely. During the event, both sides shared lessons in English language learning, explored means of strengthening links, and exchanged ideas regarding the promotion of study opportunities, skills development, vocational education and training (VET), and mandarin learning. The keynote speeches were given by Ms Connie Chang, Director General of the NDC, on “Overview of Bilingual 2030 Policy,” and Dr. Nicole Lee, Director General of the MOE, on “Taiwan’s Policies for Promoting Bilingual Education.” From the Australian side, Mr Brett Blacker, the CEO of English Australia, elaborated on Australia’s capabilities in delivering English language learning, while Mr Simon Moore, Assistant Secretary, International Policy, Department of Education, Skills and Employment, delivered an introduction to the” Australian English Language Policy Framework”. Subsequently Mr Brent Moore, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner and Deputy Representative, Australian Office, Taipei, provided the “Sector Overview of Australia English Language Service”. Higher education institutions in Taiwan and Australia were also invited to share their precious experience on Taiwan-Australia English learning cooperation, including Mr Simon Futo, Associate Director (International Relations), English Language Centre, The University of Adelaide; Mr Kien Chai, Executive Manager, Box Hill Institute; Professor Chiou lan Chern, Dean, College of Liberal Arts National Taiwan Normal University; Dr. Vivienne Wu, President, National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences.
