Due to climate change and global catastrophe risks, the Taiwan government has built a comprehensive emergency system called Public Warning System (PWS). This system will alert citizens to possible dangers and disasters so they can be more prepared. Last year, the National Communications Commission (NCC) finished the English version test of the Cell Broadcast Service (CBS) under the Public Warning System (PWS). Citizens will receive an alert whenever the system detects danger. Whether it is an earthquake, volcanic eruption, tsunami, missile air raid drill, or nuclear accident, the system will alert you.
