被譽為「繪本界奧斯卡」的凱迪克圖畫書獎，自1937年創立以來，始終是全球童書插畫界指標性的至高榮譽。國立公共資訊圖書館自即日起至116年3月7日於總館3樓世界繪本中心推出「時光淬釀的經典——凱迪克大獎繪本展」，精選展出2016至2026年凱迪克金獎、銀獎作品，邀請民眾走進繪本藝術的璀璨風景。
本次展覽聚焦於 2016至2026的金獎與銀獎作品。這段期間，創作者們以繪本回應人與土地、文化與記憶、衝突與和平，以及自我認同等重要課題；藝術表現則從細膩寫實走向多媒材混融的創新實驗，展現豐富多變的視覺語彙。這些作品已不僅是當年的獲獎佳作，更像是歲月釀成的醇酒，散發出深刻的時代底蘊。
展覽將帶領讀者從展出的得獎作品中，梳理當代繪本的藝術脈絡，細細品味每一抹色彩與線條背後的人文關懷與情感重量；當翻閱這些經典時，不單是在閱讀他人的故事，更是透過創作者的眼睛回望自己、理解世界，並在字裡行間找到溫柔前行的力量。期盼大家也能透過繪本，看見光、看見希望、看見那些躍然紙上的偉大夢想。

Often called the “Oscars of picture books,” the Caldecott Medal has been the gold standard for children’s book illustration worldwide since it was first awarded in 1937. From today through March 7, 2027, the National Library of Public Information is hosting the exhibition Aged to Perfection: Caldecott Award-Winning Picture Books at the World Picture Book Center on the 3rd floor of the main library. The showcase features a curated selection of Caldecott Medal and Honor books from 2016 to 2026, inviting everyone to step into the dazzling world of picture book art.
The spotlight is on the winners from 2016 to 2026. Over this decade, artists have used picture books to explore meaningful themes such as our bond with the land, culture and memory, war and peace, and finding oneself. Artistically, the works have shifted from detailed realism to bold mixed-media experiments, bursting with creative visual storytelling. These books are more than past award winners—like fine wine, they’ve only grown richer with time, carrying the heartbeat of our era.
This exhibition takes you on a journey through contemporary picture book art, giving you space to appreciate the heart, care, and emotion behind every brushstroke and line. Opening these classics isn’t just about reading someone else’s story; it’s about seeing yourself and making sense of the world through the artist’s eyes, finding the quiet strength to keep moving forward. We hope these pages bring you a bit of light, hope, and the spark of big dreams leaping off the page.
